GAME CONTROL

The need for repeated reloading makes the harpoon effective enough only for a single shot under water (the exception is shooting from an underwater scooter - it is carried out almost automatically). Usually they can stop the enemy for a short time in order to sail to a safe place or get out on land. And the ammunition for harpoons is extremely limited, so take care of them and use them only in case of emergency.

"Uzi" is best reserved for the most powerful opponents and the last levels of the game.

The grenade launcher is capable of causing serious damage, but remember that grenades only explode after flying about 15 meters, which, by the way, is good, because you don’t want to fall victim to your own weapons. Immediately after the shot, do not run forward, but wait for the gap.

The rocket launcher will destroy everything that it hits with a rocket, but its ammunition extremely is limited, so take care of every projectile.

The MP-5 replaced the M-16 from the previous series, as it is truly the latest modification of the automatic rifle. This weapon is ideal for shooting at long distances. When shooting from it, you can neither run nor jump.

Before starting the actual game, don't forget to work out once again in Lara's house - there is a lot to learn and do there, including using the more spacious gym and even shooting at the pesky butler. Don't miss the special key you use to unlock the bike so you can ride it around the house.

LARA'S HOUSE

In the passages of the previous series of the game, this object was not given any attention, since there was really nothing to do in the house itself. In the same game, Lara's house is a kind of mini-level where there is something to do and something to solve. The interior and exterior of the building have undergone some changes so that Lara can demonstrate her new abilities.

You start in the bedroom, with the weapon cabinet unlocked this time. Open it and take a box of candles, then go to the main stairs. In the far corner of the landing there is another door leading to the attic. Enter it and light the cartridge. You will find a box that needs to be pushed twice. Then go down to the library, located next to the room where the TV and the piano are, turn right and find a book protruding on a shelf. Push it so that the fireplace goes out and you can enter it and climb up. There, move the boxes and take a new package of candles. Now you will see a hall. Flip the switch to briefly open the door down the hall leading to the training room for a VERY short time. Now hurry up to get there before the door closes, for which cut corners where necessary and jump. It is preferable to move as described below.

After pressing the switch, run through the hall back to the attic, down the stairs to the landing of the second floor. After exiting the attic door, jump over the railing and keep running, turning slightly to the right. Run towards the gym, using the sprint to fly through the door just before it closes.

Since you're using sprint (only when running in a straight line), it won't be difficult for you to get to the bottom of the building. There you will find a box that you need to move under the hole in the ceiling and climb from the box into the hall above you. Go to the aquarium. Swim in it to find and take the coveted RACE KEY, which will unlock the labyrinth that is now Lara's motorcycle track - it's time to set a new speed record!

Before you leave the house, you might want to visit one more secret room. Go to the pool and press the button located behind the diving board. In the left gap, where water flows, there are candles, and in the far right - cartridges. Now move to the right to the dirty swamp - this is a dangerous quagmire - and go through the archway to a spacious clearing. To your left you will see a harmless little monkey, do not kill it. Take to the left and find the passage that leads to the lever. Click on it and go past the tree back to the gate that just opened.

Go through the gate, jump into a small hall - there will be a lever a little to the right of you, and a moving wall with sharp stakes to the left. Press the lever and quickly jump into the niche behind your back to avoid death. When the wall passes by, go left and climb into the hole. Find a rope with handles attached to it, slide down it to the base of the square stump. Climb onto it and jump over to the passage leading to the clearing. If you do fall into the river, don't resist the current - let it take you to a green tunnel leading to a small pool where you can land. And beware of the piranhas!

A beautiful but deadly tiger will attack you at the very entrance, so get your pistols ready. Find a tree with a large hollow, press the lever inside it, but be on your guard: a large stone is rolling at you. Dodge him, then follow his route up to another lever that will open a door on the left around the corner. Proceed there and kill the second tiger. Go right through the dense thickets and look for cartridges on a small ledge on the left, go back and follow in the same direction.

Go to a new zone, where the tiger is waiting for you again - another target for your fire training. Keep walking forward until you see a light haze from the sun's rays. Where they fall to the ground, there is a pit with stakes. Bypass it. Turn right, between the trees, find the cartridges. Walk along the wall to the right, crawl under a fallen tree and kill another tiger, then heal with an emerald. Go up the trunk of the fallen tree, jump to the left at the column and pick up the magazine for the MP-5 rifle.

Return to the trunk of the tree, go to its end, stand with your back to the edge, jump off, hang on your hands, unclench them and immediately grab the edge of the lower ledge again, then pull yourself up. Climb up the barrel for secret #4 (candles and grenades). Sharp stakes lie in wait for you below, so hang on your hands and carefully fall down one of the sloping slopes, which you can jump over in different directions. Move in one direction, and soon you will be able to pass the stakes. Climb up the Desert Eagle rifle magazine in the two stone niches, drop down into the dark tunnel and walk between the stakes. Pull yourself up on your hands, leave this area and return to the end of the tree from which you recently jumped down.

Now slide off it to the left and go to the left golden grate, past it - along the passage studded with stakes. With a run, jump onto a stone block, pick up the first-aid kit, turn right, jump again, and at the end - again, this time onto a green slope. You can’t hold on to it, but, falling, grab onto its edge and move on your hands to the right, where you can pull yourself up and take the emerald.

Move back, jump down to the platform a little lower and jump forward from it to the wall, along the ledge of which the monkey roams. Cling to the edge of the rocky split in front of you and on your hands move to the left, pull yourself up, crawl on your knees to the left, straighten up, turn around in the opposite direction, jump onto the stone block, and from it - down to the entrance to the dark passage. You can light a candle and go forward - to the left, to the lever that will open the gate below. But the same lever will release a huge killer stone, and therefore turn around sharply and quickly run out of the passage. When the threat is over, go back inside and find the hidden entrance to the cave above the lever. Climb into it and find secret number 5 - harpoons and rockets, then carefully jump from the ledge down to the ground. Kill the tiger and go through the brown gate.

Immediately turn left and move forward. You will see three stones rolling sequentially one after the other. Wait for the last stone to pass, climb the slope and go deeper into the bushes. Pick up a first aid kit, find a hole in the ground and jump into it, but immediately grab the edge of the lower passage again so as not to stumble on the stakes below. Pull yourself up and enter the passage leading to secret #6 - a pack of candles and an emerald. After saving the game, experiment with the exit technique.

Return to the three stones, go past them until you find yourself on the river bank. Run to the right in shallow water - there on the shore you will find ammunition for the Uzi machine gun. Jump to the small island on the other side of the river, jump again and pull yourself up to the green ledge above your head, where you press the lever and thereby open the door, which is still at a distance from you.

Dive into the river and swim through the tunnel into a spacious hall, in the middle of which there is a platform with two levers against each other. Click on both, dive again and swim through the opened door into the next room. Take the candles from the platform in the center and look around. There are two open passages in the hall - one with a door, the other without a door. Going through the one without a door, you will find yourself in a spacious area with a lot of columns and pedestals, but there is little you can do there. Return to the hall and go to the passage with the door - at the end of it there is a lever. Click on it and the entire aforementioned area will be under water.

Swim to the far waterfall and get out of the water. Find a passage behind the stream of water, go through it to the stairs and climb it. Go through the water again and climb onto another stone filled with water, then make a running jump to the previous waterfall. Enter the corridor and click on the lever that opens the underwater gate.

Jump into the water below and look for green stone steps. Get out and climb onto a tall stone pedestal, then take a running jump to the next pedestal, where an emerald is waiting for you. Jump back into the water and swim through the gate you just opened - it's under the black wall bas-relief. After a short swim you will find yourself in the next room with some ammo in the corners. Having dealt with the striped predator and taking away the ammunition, climb the stairs up.

Turn the corner and pick up Indra's key without delay (if the monkey gets ahead of you, you will, alas, have to shoot it). Go around the green area, find a way out, go down a little, shoot the tiger from a safe height and jump down. Making your way to the right passage, try not to get into the brown quicksand. Before you use Indra's key and open the gate, pick up a pack of cartridges in a small niche on the left. Enter the gate, watch the cutscene and complete the level.

Naturally, they put us in jail without weapons, so there is nothing to fend off the guards yet. We do a back flip, the door opens and security appears. With a club ... I must say, the guards here are rare brakes, and it’s quite easy to get away from them, but with a club they can hit quite decently. So we run to the next button, press it and cross the bridge, on the other side we again press two buttons. These buttons, by the way, open the prisoners' cells, which will distract the guards. And we run into the open door at the end of the corridor on the left. There in the niche we move the box and crawl to the left. Then we move two boxes at once - the first one is away from us, the second one is also away from us all the way, and the first one is already towards ourselves. Then we return, crawl and at the end of the corridor we take a first aid kit (secret - 1/2) . We return, climb onto the platform and run along the open corridor, while admiring the sunset. We jump over the barbed wire, climb onto the ledge and run forward again. We pass the coils of wire (step by step), at the end we lower the switch and climb to the left. There we already go down the stairs and run to the left along the green corridor. As a result, we get into the technical rooms. We press the button on the wall and rush along the corridor past the slowing down guards. One starts firing and heroically misses his comrade. We select an access card from the corpse and insert it into the slot to the right of the left grate in front. The lattice opens - we run there. At the end of the left corridor, press the button, run further, press the button again and get to the warehouse. From the nearest container we jump to the left and get into the ventilation shaft. We press the button and dive into the water, swim over the containers and get out into the mine. At the end, we jump onto a kind of minefield and immediately do a somersault to the left. We run forward, press the button on the right and thus move on. We reach the local canteen, run through it and watch how the former prisoners knock down the guard. We climb up the ledges and run to the left, in the middle of the corridor we turn right and use the trophy card there. In the gray room, press the button, run forward, right, right, left and jump down. In the corridor at the bottom left, we release another prisoner. We wait until he and his friend knock down the guard and take the yellow fuse. We use it in the far right corner, in a niche. In the opened passage we run past the green wall, turn left and run along the yellow corridor. At the end, a guard wanders - we crawl down to the right. We quickly press the button, and the guard comes to an end. And we run past, along the corridors, in the end we cling to the edge of the platform and jump down. We go around the corner and climb up the stairs, there we run along the corridor and climb into a green niche that looks like it was pasted over with computer boards. At the end, we take the yellow fuse and crawl back, in the corridor we turn left, so as not to mess with the guards, we fall down. We run to the right, bending around the structure in the center, and go into an inclined corridor, there at the end we fall down again and press the button. We go into the next room and use the fuse on the wall. We climb the stairs up, go to the other side and dive into the water. We turn around and swim down, take the rhombus and further along the mine, at the end we select the card and pull the lever. We select the first-aid kit and swim up, climb onto the platform and do somersaults to the right, dive again. We swim through the mine and get out in the corridor pasted over with boards. We crawl through it and climb to the left along the containers, press the button and go where we go. As a result, we get to the storage with our own weapons. We pick it up and return to the containers, climb into the passage, dive, swim, get out on land and run along the corridor. At the end, we bring down the guard and take the card, use it in the niche nearby and pick up a couple of excellent pistols in the opened passage (secret - 2/2). Now we return to that corridor, pasted over with boards, and we run from it to the right, around the corner we bring down the guards. We collect trophies (a blue fuse and a large first-aid kit), go back a little and climb the stairs up. Immediately turn right and use the fuse at the end of the corridor. We kill the guard, we press the button on the wall and we return to the stairs, we run further along the corridor, and to the left. We kill the guard and jump to the block on the right, climb up and move along the ceiling to the other side. We pocket a small first aid kit, climb back and turn left. There we climb onto the platform, run along the roof, pick up the yellow fuse and the rhombus. We go down, use the fuse, do a somersault to the left and run to the roof. We turn right from the truck, bring down the guard, move one of the containers and climb up for loading. Level passed.

Passing under a small waterfall, Lara extinguished her torch. But that's okay, it can be lit again from a hanging brazier. At this point, the game also advises using instinct [Q] to highlight all active objects in Miss Croft's field of view. At this point, she should pull herself up and climb on top of the wooden cage that holds the bottles. There it will be possible to set fire to the old sail, which for some reason was dragged here along with the mast, from which the fire will spread to a red barrel filled with something fuel. There is an explosion, and the passage becomes open.

Further, an attack occurs on Lara, from which you can fight off by quickly alternating pressing the left and right keys. A wild-looking man with dreadlocks tries to lure the fugitive back, but she does not listen to him and continues through the cave. The ceiling is very low, she has to walk on her haunches, so the water comes up to her neck. But there is even a small plus in this: water washes away dried blood and dirt from the novice robber. The new waterfall extinguishes the torch, and the next cave is a puzzle: you need to light a torch, set fire to the sails from the first cage with it, then set fire to the wooden debris that has sailed and stopped in front of the grate. Now you need to climb up, into that very first cell. Then it will fall, and the garbage will rise and fall into the second cage. We run to it and push [F]. Burning debris swims up to the barrels, setting them on fire, causing an explosion!

There's a light ahead, maybe this is the way out! But, alas, from the explosion, the cave begins to shake, stones, the size of Laru and even more, fall from the ceiling. You need to run before the passage is completely blocked! Along the way, there will be holes in the ground that you need to jump over [space]. Then the guy with dreadlocks will appear again, now at the end you will need to move his foot [F], at the moment when the two circles coincide. It is flattened by a huge stone, and Lara continues to climb how many slopes. To move, you need to press the keys left and right, and to avoid the stones flying from above - only one of them, depending on the direction, it will also be highlighted. At the top there is really a way out of this terrible place. Exhausted, Lara just collapses. Then he gets up and looks around.

Around on the rocks you can see dozens of crashed ships of different sizes, classes and even eras, as well as the tail section of some aircraft. Lara clamps the wound, it opened again after such and such a race. But she will have to go further, along a narrow mountain path, because a storm is coming and she needs to hide somewhere.

Now you need to find one or the other deer. One very quickly showed up down the stream. We aim, pull the bowstring so that the arrow flies more accurately, right to the head, and let go. With completely wild eyes and sobs, Lara cut the deer skin with a sharp-tipped arrow and cut out a piece of meat. Many more deer appeared around, which you can hunt, and even hares with crows. As soon as Lara climbed into the passage, a door opened from behind, and a monster entered. In samurai armor, with a club and under three meters tall. We need to get out of here as soon as possible! But it's so disgusting - small parts of bodies are scattered across the floor, like hands and heads, as well as bones that have lain here for decades. Rolling down, Miss Croft found herself in a half-open place, which is strongly blown by the wind. What is very strange is the equipment that was left with her - the savages did not take either a bow or a pistol with a machine gun. They will soon pay dearly for this. For now, we need to move on. One of the corpses had a shotgun, with which Lara now set out to make a hole in the barrier. It works, but the shot got attention, although these people are also running away, apparently afraid of that huge monster.

Lara notices the helicopter and hobbles over to it to look for a first aid kit. In the place of the pilot, it would be foolish to leave her, but who knows. Lara descends into a hole that looks like a sewer, if you can call it that. The water is right under the houses. Voices and torture are heard here, and at the exit, the situation of Sammy and the rest of the expedition members, who are kept in a cave under the fortress, is discussed. Fighting a wounded girl is not at all easy, and if she falls into a trap, you need to shoot at the mechanism, as you did before. The path to the helicopter lies along the very edge of the slums, over the abyss. The camp is right behind them. We watch as Grim (the helmsman of the Endurance) rappels down. Lara goes to his rescue. When everyone who dared to attack her was killed, Grim was used as a hostage. But he managed to kill them all, although he fell into the abyss himself. R.I.P. helmsman from Glasgow, you were really cool. But now Lara must continue her ascent to the palace, alone again.

If only the caretakers upstairs didn’t suspect anything ... but no, they can’t pass quietly, and Rott enters into a shootout, distracting the islanders from Lara. It seems they are all dead. In addition to the two bandits, there is also the entrance to a hidden tomb. Behind the door is a military bunker. Inside is a laboratory where local storms were studied.
