→ Blacksmithing in TES Online

Blacksmiths are consummate craftsmen of heavy armor and weapons. And not only to make but also to improve it under their power. There are blacksmiths in almost every major settlement. To obtain metal ingots, it is necessary to explore the area to find the necessary ores. After mining the ore, the blacksmiths need to enrich it, which requires 10 units of ore.

  1. - Extraction and smelting of ore;
  2. - Making weapons and heavy armor;
  3. - Research - knowledge of the characteristics of heavy weapons and armor;
  4. - Reconstruction - the destruction of heavy armor and weapons to obtain ingredients for the further creation of more advanced weapons;
  5. - Upgrade - upgrade weapons and armor with reagents from basic to legendary.

Blacksmithing is one of several professions in The Elder Scrolls Online. This allows you to create heavy armor and other weapons using steel and other materials. This guide will help you understand Blacksmithing quickly and easily.
Some players have complained that it's hard to understand the mechanical developments in ESO. This guide will help you quickly understand everything you need to know..

Where can I get ingredients and materials?

You will have to collect different types of ores, depending on what you need to be a blacksmith. You can find everything you need for crafting during your exploration, exploration and quests. As soon as you leave the city, be careful and look around, collect all the ore that you see. You need to find special mines. The screenshot below shows what my fees look like.

As you can see, it is not very difficult to determine the gathering place.

There is one trick that will help you: the mines are always located near the stones. Don't even try to find ore on the plain or in the field. You need to look for mines near mountains or hills.
Tip: Be fast. When you see a gathering place, you need to gather resources as quickly as you can. Other players are also looking for resources, and if someone starts mining faster than you, then you have no chance of getting anything from this place.

Some players complain that it's hard to see gathering places. But this can be fixed. There is a special skill "Keen Eye: Ore" that can help you see the mines better. The effect of this passive skill makes it easier to see ores in the range of 20/40/60 meters (depending on the level of the skill). So, if you are serious about becoming a blacksmith, you should learn this passive skill in order to gather resources quickly.
There is also a special perk called MinerHireling. After mastering it, Miner Mercenary will send you various resources and, probably, some items every day.
There is another way to get materials and level up Blacksmithing: extract elements from weapons and armor that you find during exploration. Do not sell daggers, swords, axes; it is better to extract materials from them. This will help you level up your profession faster and give you additional crafting resources.

Where to craft?

You need to find a blacksmith location for Blacksmithing in order to be able to craft anything. You can always find it in big cities. Use the city map, it will show you the way. Typically, production sites are located close to each other. So if you find Enchanter's table (Wizard's Table), then Blacksmithing station is not far from it.
When using an anvil for the first time, you will see a quick in-game guide that will explain several aspects of Blacksmithing to you. In any case, I recommend reading it.

Turning iron ore into iron ingots

First of all, you need to turn the ore you have collected into iron ingots. Because you can only use ingots to create items. And this is the first difficulty for many players. They see the crafting interface but don't know how to create Iron Ingots using Iron Ore. But it's really simple: go to the Extraction tab and use it to form ingots from ore.

This tab also allows you to destroy steel weapons and armor, while gaining additional crafting resources and experience points in Blacksmithing.

You need 10 ore to get 1 iron ingot.

Sometimes when you collect ore or destroy weapons to get ingots you will get special stones, which can be used to upgrade weapons. I will tell you about such items a little later..
Now you have ingots and you can start crafting.

Create an element

In order to see the crafting menu you need to select the first tab in the crafting interface. And this is where the magic begins. The crafting interface may not seem the same as usual, but it is very convenient to use. The following figure shows the Creation tab and is explained in detail below.

First of all, you need to choose what you want to make.

As you can see there are 2 options: weapons and armor. Don't forget about it. Most craft tabs have options like this.
Once you have selected a Weapon, you can change its type. Choose what type of weapon you want to create: one-handed sword, two-handed sword, axe, dagger and so on.

Section Material allows you to change the type of material you want to use and its quantity. The first available material is Iron ore. This is the low level ingot we created in the previous step. Changing the source materials allows you to change the "strength" of the item. You will be able to use other materials when you reach a higher level in Blacksmithing. The number of ingots also affects the strength of the element. The more Ingots you add, the better this item will be.

Section Style allows you to change the appearance of an element. It's no secret that there are 10 races in ESO and each of them has its own unique style of armor and weapons. The same Imperial style dagger would be different from a Dunmer style dagger.

Note: at the very beginning, each race can only craft their own racial elements. You must discover other crafting styles to be able to use them. They can be found in special books that you can find in Tamriel.

To create an item in a certain style, you will also need the appropriate stone. You can purchase it from the blacksmithtrader, who is usually located near the blacksmithing station. It is not difficult to find him.
Trait section allows you to insert a special attribute that will give additional bonuses to the crafted item.
Now that everything is selected you can press the "R" button and the item will be created.

Item Upgrade

The blacksmith can not only create items, but also improve them. All armor and weapons in the game have different qualities. You can tell the quality of a particular item by the color of its name.

  • White - Normal
  • Green - Exquisite
  • Blue - Improved
  • Purple - Epic
  • Yellow–Legendary

When an element is created, it is assigned the "White" quality. But you can make it better by upgrading to the next quality rank.

Note: you can improve not only crafted items, but also other items you found in the game. This is one of the best crafting bonuses.
Do not forget that the Blacksmith can only improve certain types of weapons and armor: swords, daggers, heavy armor, and so on. It cannot improve headquarters, bows, light and medium armor.

You will need special rare reagents to upgrade the item. You can find these reagents while traveling and exploring the world, as well as when smelting ores and extracting ingots. This is the reason why I do not recommend that you sell weapons and armor, they can be used.

Now that you have received the reagents, you can improve the item. The most interesting part is that the improvement guarantee is not 100%. It is possible to change the success rate of an upgrade by changing the amount of individual rare reagents that must be used.

1 part of the reagent adds 20% to the chance of improving the part successfully. This means that if you use only one part, then you will have a 20% chance of success, 2 pieces - 40% and so on.
If the upgrade fails, the item will be destroyed. If the item you want to improve is really valuable, then it is better to collect and spend 4-5 parts to maximize the chances.

Research

The last tab from the crafting menu is called "Research", which allows you to explore the effect of a particular item. The item should have a useful additional effect, such as additional critical strike chance. You can do research and find out what effect the item has in order to be able to use it for your own purposes.
Each study takes 6 hours of real time.
It is worth paying attention to the fact that each type of weapon requires individual research. I mean, if you have researched how to add crit chance to your dagger, then you won't be able to use that effect on a sword.

You must complete individual research for each type of weapon.
As you can see Blacksmithing is a very interesting profession that allows you to create and improve your armor and weapons.

I hope that this guide will help you quickly understand and master this profession.

Not all people playing TES V know how to quickly upgrade blacksmithing in Skyrim. Indeed, unlike other skills, which for the most part are designed to participate in various battles, this branch can be pumped quite simply without even leaving the city. In this article, we will look at the main ways to quickly upgrade blacksmithing in Skyrim, using a minimum of resources for this.

Why is the branch of blacksmithing swinging?

First of all, many pump the blacksmithing branch in order to provide themselves with the most effective equipment. It is worth noting the fact that while the player has practically no combat skills, using equipment for him is the best option for completing various missions, and this especially applies to those people who play on high difficulty. At the same time, it is worth noting that if you are not used to using and trying to achieve everything on your own, then in Skyrim the blacksmithing skill will allow you to level up your character as quickly as possible in order to get the ability points you need to develop the main combat branches.

Fast and guaranteed

Many people value the time, not the gameplay itself. In order not to delay people who are looking for how to quickly level up blacksmithing in Skyrim, and for whom the speed of raising the level of this branch is important, the simplest and fastest method is provided - use console commands. In this case, there are two main options for pumping branches:

1. Player.setav blacksmithing 100 - standard code for Skyrim. Blacksmithing simply goes up in level, but it does not provide the opportunity to pump it, that is, it does not give the skill points themselves, which we would have received if we had leveled up by pumping.

2. Player.advskill blacksmithing 1,000,000 is a better code option. If you are looking for how to quickly level blacksmithing in Skyrim and still ensure maximum leveling efficiency, this code is the best option for you. He invests 1,000,000 experience points in the blacksmithing branch, as a result of which the branch rises to the maximum level, simultaneously raising the level of your character.

In addition, on the Internet, you can also find all kinds of cheats for Skyrim. Blacksmithing with such cheats can develop and expand, but in most cases these are just additions to the new features of the branch, and not its pumping.

Standard flush option

There is also a "legal" opportunity to quickly pump blacksmithing into Skyrim. Pumping in this case will be carried out in a natural way, that is, in order to raise the level of our blacksmith skills, we will forge. As with any other branch, there is an easy way in Skyrim to increase blacksmithing - you just need to perform some specific action the maximum number of times. In this case, it doesn't matter what you do.

What are we doing?

Since we are interested in how to quickly pump blacksmithing in Skyrim, that is, exactly the number of actions performed, and not their type, it is necessary to forge something that requires a minimum amount of resources - we are talking about an iron dagger.

The branch swings in this case quite simply. Initially, you should accumulate a certain amount of capital (it will take approximately 15,000 to fully upgrade the branch, but the amount may vary depending on the prices of resources), and then start fast moving around the cities in order to buy absolutely all the ingots, leather and leather strips from local merchants. If some cities are not yet open for you, you can use the services of a wagon that will take you to the gates of any castle for a nominal fee. The thing is that you definitely won’t have enough resources for each individual merchant (yes, even all of them don’t have enough resources for your capital), so you will have to make several circles. Most likely, enough time has already passed during the movement process so that the assortment of the first merchant is updated by the beginning of the next round, but if this does not happen, you will need to wait a bit.

Didn't finish. What to do next?

After you have acquired resources for all the capital, fly to the city, process the skin into leather strips, and then start crafting daggers in the amount you need. When you make daggers, sell them in full pack to the first merchant (if, of course, he has enough money for your goods). If at this point the blacksmithing has not yet reached its limit, then in this case you again use the earned money in resources and repeat the procedure. This way, you will eventually be able to quickly level up a skill to level 100 without any significant cost in time or money.

The methods given here are a variant of the fastest pumping of this branch. In addition, you can create other things in parallel, as well as craft equipment for your companions, which will also allow you to eventually upgrade the branch, but for a longer time and at a higher cost.

Greetings to all who are interested in crafting in The Elder Scrolls Online. I want to start with a small introduction. I wrote a comprehensive guide on this topic and wanted it to cover all aspects of the craft in TESO, but the final result was so huge that I decided to split it into parts.

On this page, I will provide only basic information that relates to the craft in general and is common to all professions in the game. If you already have some experience playing ESO and are at least a little familiar with the crafting system, then feel free to skip this page - below I will provide a list of links to materials that relate to all aspects of crafting individually.

If you are an absolute beginner and have just started playing or are still going to start, then read this material to the end, and then go to the page you are interested in.

Leveling a craft in TESO can be time consuming and costly, but it pays off at higher levels

Crafting in The Elder Scrolls Online is somewhat different from its counterparts in most MMORPGs (at least I haven't seen anything like it). For me personally, a pleasant surprise was that the professions are really useful here, and the high-level equipment created by the players is in no way inferior to the gear obtained from the dungeon bosses.

Professions

There are 6 professions in ESO:

  • Blacksmithing - heavy armor and melee weapons;
  • Tailoring - light and medium armor;
  • Carpentry - staves, bows and shields.
  • Alchemy - potions and poisons;
  • Enchantment - creating enchantments for applying additional effects to equipment;
  • Supply - drinks and food that provide long-term buffs.

I should also add that all professions are responsible for the production of furniture for houses, but we will talk about this separately.

Mining

There are several ways to get resources for crafting in TESO:

  • Deconstruction of items (relevant for enchantment, blacksmithing, carpentry and tailoring). Using the workbench, you can dismantle all the equipment lying around in your inventory and get some of the resources from which it is made from it. This method is also good because by disassembling items, you gain experience and upgrade your pro. Selling extra gear to merchants does not make sense - it is too cheap.
  • Find in the open world. Traveling through Tamriel, you will constantly stumble upon deposits of ore, plants, runestones and other resources. You don't need a crafting skill or a special tool to mine them. In this way, you can loot even on a character whose craft is not pumped at all.
  • Resources for some professions can be obtained from monsters. This mainly applies to leather and some alchemical ingredients.

You can also find resources in these bags

pumping

Crafting experience in The Elder Scrolls Online is called inspiration. It can be obtained by crafting items, deconstructing equipment, researching traits, and completing crafting daily quests.

An additional way can be called reading books scattered around the game world. As in the previous parts of the series, sometimes you will stumble upon books that increase the hero's skills.

For each profession in TESO there is a separate branch of passive skills. Not all of them are needed, but they allow you to somewhat facilitate and speed up the leveling of the craft.

When planning your character development, keep in mind that although you can max out all professions, it will require a lot of skill points, which can negatively affect the effectiveness of your avatar.

There are several ways here:

  • You can make a separate high-level character and devote it entirely to the craft.
  • Or you can make one low-level character for each profession you want to master. Fortunately, the bank in the game is common to the entire account and you do not have to transfer resources from one character to another.

Of course, these tips are relevant only for those who want to pump in all existing pros. If you are only interested in 2-3 crafts, then you can develop them on your main character.

Sometimes there is a desire to take a break from adventure and just go fishing on the river bank.

Perhaps if you play with friends or are in a good guild, then you won't need crafting in TESO at all - you can find someone who will help you out of friendship or for a moderate fee.

On this I, perhaps, will finish. For more information on every aspect of crafting in The Elder Scrolls Online, please follow the links above. If I missed something, or you still have questions - write about it in the comments, but for now I wish you all good luck and have a good day. See you soon.
