The State Musical College of Pop and Jazz Art is one of the first specialized educational institutions in the Russian Federation that trains students in the field of pop and jazz art.

The educational institution was formed on the basis of the music departments of two educational institutions: the Gnesins State Musical College and the October Revolution Musical College.

The educational process at the school is conducted in accordance with the state educational standards for vocational training, including in the specialty "Variety Musical Art (by type)". In this direction, the recruitment of students for training in both basic and advanced profiles is practiced.

The State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Art has two main areas of training for artists - vocal and instrumental performance. The school trains singers in the specialty "Variety singing". The Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Secondary Vocational Education "The State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Art (Technical School)" (GMUEDI) is located in the cultural center of Moscow's Zamoskvorechye. The school accepts citizens who have musical abilities, have a general education of at least 9 grades of secondary school and have successfully passed the entrance exams.

Acceptance of documents

Applicants to the State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Art submit the following documents to the admission committee:

  • application form (in the form);
  • a photocopy of a passport or other document proving identity and citizenship;
  • state document on education (original or photocopy);
  • photos 3x4;

Applicants in the order of transfer from an institution of secondary vocational education of the corresponding profile to senior courses submit a certificate from the place of study, 6 3x4 photos, a certified copy of the certificate and a document proving identity and citizenship.

Applicants must provide the following mandatory information in their application:

  • Date of Birth;

The signature of the applicant is also certified by the receipt of secondary vocational education for the first time and familiarization with the date of submission of the original document of education by the applicant.

Applicants who have submitted to the selection committee incomplete information provided for by these Rules, and (or) information that does not correspond to reality, the selection committee has the right to refuse to accept documents.

Applicants have the right to apply for participation in the competition for places financed from the budget and for places under contracts with tuition fees, as well as for both specializations at the same time.

An application for admission and other necessary documents can be sent by applicants through public postal operators. When sending documents by mail, the applicant shall attach to the application photocopies of documents proving his identity and citizenship, a document on education, as well as other documents, if necessary.
