The wisdom of his wife always helped the sovereign to save his family. Singer Andrei Derzhavin has cancer? What is singer Andrei Derzhavin doing now?

Derzhavin Andrey Vladimirovich (b. 1963) is a Soviet and Russian singer, musician, composer and arranger. He was the leader of the group “Stalker”, since 2000 he has been a keyboard player in the group “Time Machine”, and also continues to pursue a solo career.

Childhood

Andrey was born on September 20, 1963 in the city of Ukhta, Komi Republic. Fate threw my parents so far away, although they themselves were from completely different places: father Vladimir Dmitrievich from the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk region, and mother Galina Konstantinovna from the city of Engels, Saratov region.

In Stalin's times, repressed scientists, politicians, musicians, and writers were exiled to the city of Ukhta. Therefore, the 30 thousand population of the small town was very often intelligent.

At first, the Derzhavin family lived in the same apartment with their mother’s parents and sister. Grandparents helped raise their beloved granddaughter, and thanks to his aunt, tiny Andryusha developed a love for music. There was a piano in the house, my mother’s sister played the instrument, but as soon as she got up, a little boy immediately sat down in her place and began to reproduce what he heard by ear. He was only in his fourth year at the time.

There was also a radio “Latvia” in the apartment, on which there was a record player under the cover. Andrei had two favorite places in the house: where the piano was and where the radio was. He could listen to the record with the song “Black Cat” several times in a row.

Mom and dad both worked as geophysicists. In Andrey’s childhood memories, they woke up very early, got ready and went to work together, and in the evening they always came home together. Little Andryusha loved to visit his father at work, because there were a lot of things there that were interesting to him. When computer centers began to appear in the city, dad went to work in one of them. Andrey was drawn there even more, because his first acquaintance with a computer took place there.

When Andryusha was 8 years old, his little sister Natasha was born. Now she has her own family and three children; she and her brother have the best, warm family relationship.

Studies

In 1970, Andrei began his studies at a regular Ukhta secondary school. In addition to lessons, he took an active part in sports life, running, basketball, volleyball, and cross-country skiing. He always liked sports, if only because he could miss a couple of lessons while competing for his home school in city competitions.

Additionally, Andryusha went to the wrestling section; in Soviet times there were very good trainers and gave excellent training. Now Andrey cannot say about himself that he is an active athlete; he cannot go to the gym every day, but he does gymnastics regularly and swims in the pool a couple of times a week.

In addition to the sports section, Andrei also studied piano at a music school. In addition to the piano, he also learned to play the guitar, and in high school he began to take part in amateur musical groups.

After school, Andrei entered the Ukhta Industrial Institute; the guy had no other choice, since this higher educational institution was the only one in the city.

At the institute, Andrei studied together with the now famous oligarch Roman Abramovich, and they still have good friendly relations. Many years after receiving their diplomas, they communicate. Once, Roman even sent a charter plane for Andrei Derzhavin and Yevgeny Margulis so that they would fly to London for a match of the Chelsea football team, of which Abramovich is the president. After the game, they all went to a restaurant together, where Andrei had the opportunity to play music on a luxurious old white grand piano, played only by Elton John.

Creation

Andrey Derzhavin began his creative journey, like many musicians, from restaurants and city dance floors.

In 1985, Andrei, together with his classmate Sergei Kostrov, created a musical group and gave it the name “Stalker”.

The group then included:

  • Andrey Derzhavin – composer, keyboardist;
  • Vitalik Lichtenstein – backing vocalist, keyboardist;
  • Sergey Kostrov – sound engineer and lyricist;
  • Alexander Chuvashev – backing vocalist, drummer.

First, the guys had to purchase musical equipment. Something was purchased at the famous Moscow push on Neglinnaya Street, and, for example, they bought the first synthesizer from a group visiting Ukhta.

At that time, a Zhiguli car cost 5 thousand rubles, and they were offered a synthesizer for 4,200 rubles. Quickly, in one evening, the guys borrowed money from whomever they could, and collected only 3,850 rubles. When they arrived at the hotel where the musicians were staying, they began to bargain. Andrei had to add his new Alaska jacket to the collected amount of money, which his mother had recently obtained with such difficulty somewhere. The musicians fell for the jacket because they did not expect such frosts in Ukhta - 30 degrees. But Andrei himself then had to walk home across the city without outerwear, but the group now had a synthesizer.

For a long time, the team could not find a vocalist, and in the end it was Andrei Derzhavin. The first song they recorded was called "Stars". The guys performed compositions in the Eurodisco style. Days and nights, on an ordinary tape recorder, they copied cassettes with their songs and distributed them to everyone, especially to singers who came to Ukhta on tour. They really wanted to express themselves and be heard.

After the release of the compositions “Without You” and “I Want Not to Remember Evil,” the group began to gain popularity in many regions, and in 1986 it was included in the staff of the Syktyvkar Philharmonic.

A series of tours began, and in 1989 the group moved to Moscow. Here they began distributing their cassettes to radio stations and television in the hope that someone would someday listen to their music and appreciate it. Andrey is absolutely not embarrassed by this and does not see anything humiliating. According to him: “If a person decides to achieve something in life, then he must throw away all ambitions and pride and push through.”.

Their work was appreciated in the Sintez studio (under the leadership of Alexander Kutikov), and Stalker recorded two albums there:

  • "First-hand news";
  • "Life in an imaginary world."

In 1991, the Stalker group ceased to exist. And from that time on, Andrei was engaged in solo activities for 10 years.

Sergei Kostrov initially worked on a new project, “Lolita,” but then continued to collaborate with Derzhavin. The songs that Andrei performed instantly became popular throughout the disintegrating Soviet country:

  • "Don't cry, Alice";
  • "Someone else's wedding";
  • "Katya-Katerina";
  • "Brother";
  • "Cranes";
  • "Natasha."

An interesting story about the appearance of the song “Natasha”. Derzhavin and Kostrov were vacationing with their families in Crimea. When Sergei went out onto the balcony in the evening and saw the stunningly beautiful sunset, he turned to his wife Natalya: “Let’s drink some dry wine, Natasha.”. In the morning this phrase was reborn into the first line of the chorus, and by evening a new song was ready. Many famous Natashas of those times starred in the video for this composition: actresses Natalya Gvozdikova, Natalya Selezneva and Natalya Krachkovskaya.

Andrey devotes a lot of time to writing music for films and cartoons. His compositions can be heard:

  • in the series "Dancer";
  • in the cartoon “Well, wait a minute!” (episodes 19 and 20);
  • in the film "Loser";
  • in the series "Gypsies";
  • in the film “To Marry a Millionaire”;
  • in the animated series “The Adventures of a Kitten and His Friends” and “The Amazing Adventures of Khoma.”

In 2000, Andrei Makarevich called Derzhavin and invited him to the Time Machine group to replace the fired Pyotr Podgorodetsky. From then to the present day, Derzhavin has been a keyboard player in the team.

Andrei Derzhavin was close friends with the wonderful composer-melodist, wonderful singer and person Igor Talkov. He took his death very hard, and throughout the years after Igor’s death he provided assistance to his widow and son.

Personal life

Andrey first saw his wife Lenochka when the girl got on a city bus. It was love at first sight, he jumped in after her, drove to the stop where Lena got off, followed and figured out where she lives and what school she attends.

At that time, Andrei was a first-year student at the institute, and Lena was finishing school. As a freshman, he already played in a student group and put all his efforts and cunning so that their musical group was invited to play at the prom at the school where Lena studied. Of course, it was difficult not to fall in love with Derzhavin, what were his unearthly eyes worth.

And then Lenochka entered the same Ukhta Industrial Institute and, already both students, they got to know each other better, started dating and got married 8 months later. At first they lived in a student dormitory, then their parents helped them rent an apartment. When the time came to move out of their rented home, Lena and Andrey took turns living with her and his parents.

Then the Stalker group began touring, and soon the family moved to Moscow. Lena steadfastly endured next to her husband the path from an aspiring singer to an accomplished musician, and went through a period of a crazy number of young fans. As Andrey himself says: “I am grateful to God that he gave me the wisdom not to fall for popularity and young fans, but to stay with the woman I love and my family.”.

Lena and Andrey have two children. Son Vladislav was born in 1986, and in 2005 another daughter, Anya, appeared. Vladik, like his father, is interested in creativity, graduated from music school, then college, plays the guitar, and is the founder and vocalist in the group “Stinkie”. Vladislav is married and already has two children - daughter Alisa (born in 2009) and son Gerasim (born in 2013). So Andrei Derzhavin and his wife are already grandparents.

For a long time Andrey has not spoken to the press or given any interviews. It’s not that he hates journalists, he just doesn’t like how they twist any information they receive. In the past, it’s unclear why the yellow press threw mud at him enough for him to treat them that way now.

At one time, when Andrei was just beginning to gain popularity, journalists conspired and began to print in all newspapers that he was the son of Mikhail Derzhavin and Roxana Babayan. Girls from all over the country called Mikhail Mikhailovich and asked him to say hello to their son Andryusha.

Later, Andrei met Mikhail Derzhavin and his wife Roxana. The singer never used the name of Mikhail Mikhailovich for his own purposes. Once there was a case when Andrei transported his dad to Moscow, who urgently needed a major operation. The singer at that time had a difficult situation, he plucked up courage, called Mikhail Derzhavin and asked for help. She and Roxana turned out to be extremely sincere and sensitive people, they responded instantly.

Andrey still calls his spouses Derzhavin and Babayan on holidays, and if they meet somewhere, he always jokingly says: “Hello, dad!”

Andrey Derzhavin is a famous singer, arranger, and composer. The creator of the group "Stalker", he was the keyboard player of "Time Machine" for almost two decades.

The name of Andrei Derzhavin thundered in the 90s, it was then that his popularity reached its highest point. His compositions “Cranes”, “Without You”, “Katya-Katerina”, “Don’t Cry, Alice” were sung by almost the entire country. Lately, he has not indulged journalists with his attention, because he does not like their manner of turning all the information upside down, turning the truth into rumors and vice versa. Once upon a time, they already made him the son of the artist Mikhail Derzhavin, and then for a long time they circulated rumors about his illness, only for the reason that he radically changed his image - he cut his hair bald.

Childhood

Andrei Derzhavin was born on September 20, 1963 in Komi, in the small town of Ukhta. His parents, Vladimir and Galina Derzhavin, were not local residents. My father’s homeland was the Southern Urals, my mother was a native of the Saratov region. They worked as geophysical engineers and had absolutely nothing to do with the world of art. In addition to Andrey, a daughter, Natasha, was growing up in the family, 8 years younger than him.

The parents were able to consider their son’s creative inclinations and decided that it was best to develop them in a music school. Literally from the first lessons, it became clear that the boy had absolute pitch and musical abilities. He especially liked composing it himself. At first he studied piano, then he became interested in guitar.

After receiving a school certificate, Andrei became a student at the Industrial Institute. The choice fell on this university because it was the only one in his hometown, and Derzhavin did not want to leave. During his studies, Andrei met Roman Abramovich, who also studied at this university.

Together with his friend Sergei Kostrov, Andrei created the musical group “Stalker”. At the beginning of their career they performed instrumental works; they did not have a soloist. In 1985, they realized that something needed to be changed in the repertoire, and Derzhavin took up the microphone.

He performed the composition “Star”, which was later included in the album of the same name. The same collection includes the songs “I Don’t Want to Remember Evil” and “Without You,” which thundered in the late 80s.

Music career

After the dizzying success of the group’s first music album, the Syktyvkar Philharmonic took the musicians under its wing. Under such patronage, the musicians were able to go on tour almost throughout the country. Pop music became the main direction of their creativity, and more than one generation of young people “lit up” to the dance rhythms of the group. Gradually, from concert to concert, the group's popularity grew, they began to have their own fans.

Andrey Derzhavin at a concert in the group "Stalker"

In 1989, the leaders of the group, Derzhavin and Kostrov, decided to go to the capital. They were invited by Alexander Kutikov, composer of “The Time Machine” and owner of a recording studio. It was at his studio that new collections were recorded, called “First-Hand News” and “Life in an Imaginary World.”

Soon they appear on television, where they create their first video clips for the compositions “Three Weeks” and “I Believe”. The song “Three Weeks” was performed in the program “Morning Mail”, and helped the musicians become famous throughout the Soviet Union.

On the eve of the New Year 1990, the song “Don’t Cry, Alice” was played on TV, and it was from that day that Derzhavin gained incredible popularity, bordering on hysteria. Crowds of distraught fans literally did not allow him to move around the city calmly; they were waiting for him at the entrance of the house, next to the Sintez music studio, and other places where their idol appeared.

Soon they started talking about his incredible resemblance to Yuri Shatunov, whose star also began to flare up on the musical Olympus. They were not only brothers, but even distant relatives, but everyone agreed that they had a lot in common. Derzhavin always looked young, and even his most devoted fans could not figure out who was older or younger.

One of the group’s most popular compositions, “Don’t Cry, Alice,” became a beautiful point in the biography of the Stalker group. In 1992, the group broke up, although a year later they met once, when they were invited to perform as part of the Song of the Year festival. In the same year they became laureates of this competition.

Greatest Hits

In the 90s, Derzhavin received an invitation from the Komsomolskaya Zhizn magazine and became its music editor. In parallel with this, he began hosting the popular music program “Wider Circle,” which was shown by Central Television. The creative paths of the former members of “Stalker” diverged, each of them making his own career. Kostrov had his own project called “Lolita,” and Derzhavin began to develop a successful solo career. His work is becoming more and more popular, and the number of fans is increasing every day.

In 1994, Andrei created his best works, among which the compositions “Brother” and “Someone else’s Wedding” are worth noting. It was they who brought him not only fame, but also the award of the song festival “Song of the Year-94”. Derzhavin releases a solo album called “Lyrical Songs”, which has a decent circulation and sells out instantly.

Many fans of his work simply fell in love with the song “Cranes,” also included in this collection. Simultaneously with performing on stage and writing new hits, Derzhavin takes part in the Morning Star competition. He is one of the judges on this popular children's show.

In the 90s, Andrei toured a lot, made studio recordings of his compositions, and worked on TV. In those years, he released four solo albums, two dozen songs of which became real hits of that time. Among the most memorable are the songs “Katya-Katerina”, “Forget about me”, “Merry swing”, “For the first time”, “Natasha” and others. Derzhavin was not the only one who wrote the compositions “Don’t Forget Friends” and “A Few Hours of Love”. His co-authors were and, whose names also thundered on the domestic stage.

Memory of a friend

In the 90s, Andrei Derzhavin met Igor Talkov, who later became his close friend. Derzhavin was also involved in the concert program during which Talkov was shot. He became one of those who later helped the widow organize Igor’s funeral. In addition to Andrei, she could count on the help of Oleg Gazmanov and Mikhail Muromov, who abandoned all their affairs and rushed to St. Petersburg. Thanks to their participation, everyone who wanted to say goodbye to the famous composer and singer managed to get to the burial place and back.

In 1994, Derzhavin wrote his next hit - the composition “Summer Rain”, which was dedicated to the memory of his friend. Andrei took an active part in the life of the family of his late friend, he tried to help financially and constantly supported his wife and son.

In the same 1994, the singer was awarded the title of count, which he received from the Russian Noble Society. Thus, his contribution to the development of Russian culture is noted.

"Time Machine"

In 2000, the Time Machine group was left without a keyboard player, and one of the musicians proposed Derzhavin. Andrey didn’t hesitate for a long time and agreed immediately. Since that time, his solo career has become a thing of the past, he became a simple musician in a famous band. The hype around his name gradually subsided, although he continued to compose his compositions.

Soon his music began to be heard in famous films. His musical accompaniment can be heard in the films “Loser”, “Dancer”, “Marrying a Millionaire”, “Gypsies”. His creative biography also includes work in cinema. He played a cameo (of himself) in the films “The Man in My Head” and “Tiers, Being Together.”

Personal life

The only love of Derzhavin’s life was Elena Shakhutdinova, whom he met at the institute. Since that time they have been inseparable. They have a strong family based on love and loyalty, so the artist’s personal life can be considered quite happy and well-settled. In 1986, their son Vladislav was born, in 2005 the couple became parents again, this time to their daughter Anyuta.

Derzhavin does not show off his personal life; he tells journalists practically nothing about his loved ones. A common family photo is also quite difficult to find. Andrey does not like publicity, so pictures of exclusively work moments appear on his Instagram page.

Derzhavin has an ordinary measured life, he became not only a father, but also a happy grandfather. His son Vladislav gave birth to two wonderful children - Alisa and Gerasim. It can be assumed that the girl did not get her name by chance; it is associated with the title of the artist’s best composition – “Don’t Cry, Alice.”

Childhood

Andrey was born in Komi. And this despite the fact that his parents are natives of completely different regions of Russia. Dad Vladimir Dmitrievich is from the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk region, and mother is from the city of Engels, Saratov region. In addition to Andrey, the family raised a daughter, Natalya, who is 8 years younger than her brother.

Andrei Derzhavin graduated from music school, where he studied piano. By the way, the future celebrity began playing in amateur groups during his school years. He sat down at the piano and picked up the guitar.

“I used to wrestle as a child. We all studied at the same schools and institutes, so we went to the same sections. At that time, teachers provided quite serious training. I constantly had to do cross-country skiing or just run, play different games, for example, basketball or volleyball. I always liked it, if only because I could officially skip a couple of classes while playing for the team of my native school or institute,” says the musician and adds, “Now I wouldn’t call myself an active athlete, all because I make At most, sometimes go to the pool or do gymnastics, but, of course, it’s not possible to go to the gym every day.”

Well, after school, the musician went to study at the Ukhta Industrial Institute. When asked why he chose this particular university, Andrey simply answers:

Singer and composer

“There simply wasn’t another one in our city. There was only one Ukhta Industrial Institute. It still exists, only now it’s called a university.”

Group "Stalker"

In 1985, Derzhavin, together with his fellow students Sergei Kostrov, created the group “Stalker”. On July 17 of that year, the first song called “Stars” was recorded. This day is considered the team’s birthday. Afterwards the name “Stars” was given to the first magnetic album.

At that time, Andrei Derzhavin played in the group, who was the leader, the author of the music, played keyboards, was involved in arrangements and, of course, vocals. Sergei Kostrov wrote songs and was a sound engineer. Alexander Chuvashev was in charge of percussion instruments and backing vocals. But Vitaly Lichtenstein was responsible for the keyboards and another backing vocal. It is worth noting that, together with his institute friend Sergei Kostrov, Derzhavin released a huge number of records.

At first, the band was a purely studio project; for a long time, Stalker could not find a vocalist. As a result, it was decided to entrust the microphone to Andrei Derzhavin. In 1986, songs in the Eurodisco style began to appear, these are the compositions “Without You”, “I Want Not to Remember Evil”, and then the debut album arrived. The group immediately became famous in many regions. In the same year, “Stalker” was enrolled in the staff of the Syktyvkar Philharmonic, and the group began touring around the country.

With friends and colleagues

In 1989, Derzhavin and Kostrov came to Moscow. Here at A. Kutikov’s studio “Synthesis” the guys recorded two albums. These are “Life in an Imaginary World” and “First-Hand News”.

Solo career

However, already in 1992 the Stalker group broke up. Sergei Kostrov began working on his own project called “Lolita,” but later began collaborating again with Andrei Derzhavin. Their latest joint work, a hit of the disco era called “Don’t Cry, Alice,” brought their fellow friends the title of laureates of the prestigious “Song – 92” competition.

In the 90s of the last century, Andrei Derzhavin began to pursue a solo career. In those years, the artist’s style became more “folk”. The musician wrote such famous compositions as “Song about a brother” and “Someone else’s wedding.” For them, Derzhavin received a diploma as a laureate of the “Song of the Year - 94” competition. And just these compositions became a statement that Andrei Derzhavin is already an independent artist. Also at that time, such hits from Russian track lists as “Katya-Katerina” and “Cranes” were recorded.

However, during his work in “Stalker” and solo activities, Andrei took part in other projects. So, in 1989, he helped record a solo album called “Dancing on the Roof” for Alexander Kutikov. The artist acted as a keyboard player and arranger.

In 2000, Derzhavin joined the Time Machine group and took the place of keyboard player there. A year later, the team released the album “The Place Where the Light” is. This is the first “Time Machine” record to which Derzhavin had a hand. Next came the programs “50×2” and “Simply a Machine”.

Composer

In 2003, Derzhavin wrote the musical accompaniment for the film “Dancer”. And two years later, from under his light hand, the music for the 19th and 20th episodes of the cartoon “Well, Just Wait!” appeared. In 2007, the musician wrote melodies for Alexander Abdulov’s film “Loser.” And in 2009, the melody for the film “Gypsies” by director Alexei Pimanov was released. A year later, Andrei wrote the music for the film Marrying a Millionaire by Valery Uskov and Vladimir Krasnopolsky. In the same year, he created the music for Anatoly Reznikov’s cartoon “The Adventures of the Kitten and His Friends.” For 7 years until 2012, Derzhavin wrote music for the animated series “The Amazing Adventures of Khoma.”

Due to the fact that Andrei Derzhavin disappeared from the screens, many of his fans thought that he had suffered the same fate as many stars of the 1990s. – the decline of a career and complete oblivion after resounding success and full stadiums. However, in his case this was not at all the case - all this time he continued to do what he loved, music. And rumors that his star had faded also appeared due to the fact that for more than 10 years Andrei Derzhavin avoided publicity, refused to communicate with journalists and give interviews - too often his words were distorted and too much dirt was poured on him at one time . The only gossip that amused him was that he is the son of Mikhail Derzhavin. He was sincerely amused when the famous artist told him about how girls from different cities asked him to say hello to “son Andryusha.”

His personal life also turned out very happily: all this time the musician was married to Elena Shakhutdinova, whom he met as a student. In 2013, Andrei Derzhavin again took up solo activities. He left “Time Machine” and on the wave of interest in the music of the 1980-1990s. decided to revive the group "Stalker". From the previous composition it included Sergei Kostrov and Derzhavin himself. They decided not to do remakes and leave the songs with the old sound, because it was in this form that they became all-Union hits.
