An unusual, beautiful, and of course very tasty carrot salad.
Such a bright salad will decorate any holiday table in layers.
Be sure to prepare it!

Ingredients

  • mushrooms - 250 g
  • parsley - a small bunch
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • pickled cucumber - 2 pcs
  • boiled carrots - 2 pcs
  • boiled potatoes - 2 pcs
  • ham - 250 g
  • olives - 2-3 pcs.
  • mayonnaise - 200 g

Cooking method

    First, prepare the mushrooms for the salad. Cut them into slices and fry in a frying pan over high heat, stirring constantly.
    While the mushrooms are frying, finely chop the onion.
    When the mushrooms are almost completely cooked, add the onion and fry until tender.
    At the end, add salt, mix and leave to cool.
    While the mushrooms are cooling, prepare the remaining ingredients.
    Three potatoes on a coarse grater.
    Three carrots on a fine grater.
    Grate the cucumbers on a coarse grater.


    Cut the ham into small cubes.
    Cut the olive in half and cut into thin half rings.

    Let's start collecting the salad. The first layer is potato. Place it on a plate, giving it the shape of a carrot.
    Salt the potatoes a little and grease with mayonnaise.
    Place the next layer of fried mushrooms. Lubricate them with a little mayonnaise on top.
    Place chopped ham on the mushroom layer... and also grease with mayonnaise.
    Next we lay out the grated cucumbers.
    Lubricate the entire salad on the sides and top with mayonnaise.
    Cover the entire salad with grated carrots... and level with a fork.
    We insert a small bunch of parsley into the salad, imitating carrot tops.
    And we finish decorating the salad with strips of thinly chopped olives.

100 g turkey fillet (or chicken or smoked breast)
150 g potatoes
150 g frozen or fresh mushrooms (tastier, of course, with wild mushrooms)
150 g carrots
1 egg

If you need to make several plates with salads, multiply the ingredients by the number of salads.

Salad recipe:

Boil potatoes and carrots until tender. Cool, clean.
If we use fillet, boil until cooked (boil the turkey for about 20-25 minutes after boiling). Cool.
Finely chop the mushrooms.
Finely chop the onion.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil.
Add mushrooms, add salt, and fry until tender (about 15 minutes).
Grate the potatoes on a fine grater.
Grate the carrots on a fine grater.
Finely chop the poultry meat.
Grate the eggs on a fine grater.
Place carrot-shaped potatoes on a plate. Add a little salt and spread with mayonnaise.
Next, place layers on top of the potatoes:
mushrooms (you don’t need to grease them with mayonnaise).
poultry fillet (salt a little, grease with mayonnaise).
eggs (brush with a little mayonnaise).

Place the dill like the tail of a carrot.
You can use a knife to make grooves on the carrots for greater resemblance.

If this salad is intended as a children's dish, naturally, there can be no question of any smoked breast - only boiled chicken or turkey, and it is better to make homemade mayonnaise, without preservatives.

If the salad is intended to be served to adults, with smoked breast and cheese, the taste of the salad is much piquant and richer.

But the highlight is that this salad is made in layers in the shape of a carrot.

“Carrot” salad can be prepared with any composition, the main thing is that the main component is, of course, carrots and the salad itself is laid out in the shape of a carrot. I decided to make this salad into layers and I ended up with such a solid carrot that I could probably feed more than one hare.

Chicken eggs, carrots and chicken need to be boiled. The chicken must be in a separate pan, and the water must be salted and spices added - the meat will turn out tastier. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and grate them on a fine or coarse grater.




Grate any type of hard cheese on a fine grater. It is better to take cheese that is slightly salty or salty, but not sweet or bland. A savory, spiced cheese would also work well.




Boiled carrots need to be peeled and grated on a fine grater - you will get carrot puree, which will be convenient to distribute over the surface of the salad.






For the Carrot salad, it will be more convenient to take chicken fillet or breast, but any part of the chicken will also work. After boiling the bird, cool it and separate the meat from the bones, cut into small pieces.




It is better to soak prunes in warm water if they are dry. Then cut the dried fruits into small cubes.
