The creative mind of Gia Eradze turns any action on the arena into an incredible show. The creator of the “Royal Circus” began his work at the age of 11 in his hometown of Tbilisi. He fell in love with circus art and immediately realized that his life would forever be connected only with the circus. Gia Eradze’s first show was “Five Continents”. Bright style, scale and beauty, the best artists, professional show ballet, luxurious stage costumes, exotic animals - all this allowed the group to quickly become one of the best circus shows in Russia and at international competitions. Today, the collection of the “Royal Circus of Gia Eradze” includes more than 15 top awards from the most prestigious international circus festivals.

On September 24, Vegas City Hall will present the premiere of the show “Hasta La Vista!” "Royal Circus" by Gia Eradze. An extravaganza of celebration and carnival will reign under the dome of Vegas City Hall. A new performance with a beautiful storyline will tell the audience several different stories at once. Circus and show ballet performers will appear before the public as magical characters in magnificent costumes. Unique video content broadcast on huge screens (with an area of 174 sq.m.), as well as modern light and sound special effects will help viewers immerse themselves in the atmosphere of childhood, holidays and a real circus.

“Royal Circus” by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Georgia Gia Eradze is a grandiose project in which artists of various genres and exotic animals participate: llamas, zebras, noses, lemurs, porcupines, gibbons.

This fabulous show opened the 55th anniversary season at the Tula State Circus. Last year, the season here also began with Gia Eradze’s show “Baronets,” but what the public saw this time was amazing! The program employs 120 artists, uses more than 2,000 exclusive costumes, designer scenery and props, and uses 19 trucks for transportation.

“Royal Circus” is a performance of a new generation, breaking stereotypes and exciting the imagination. In addition to the fact that a constellation of acts has been collected here, each of them was worked on by experienced directors, choreographers, lighting designers and production designers; it synthesizes all genres of circus art: training, aerialists on canvases and chains, illusion, balancing act, pop ballet and much more.

For the performance, a huge Golden Castle was designed, decorated with velvet and shimmering with lights, a three-level curtain, sometimes hiding the entire arena, and crystal chandeliers.

The spectacle of the action is mesmerizing: during the three hours that it lasts, the audience seems to be on a journey through different continents and eras. Indians and Roman gladiators rush in front of them in chariots, incredible aliens, the mythical Pegasus, white-winged angels, jesters, inhabitants of Swan Lake and other fantasy characters appear.

A grand piano, sprinkled with Swarovski crystals, magically appears in the arena, fountains splash from it, and a tightrope walker, surrounded by ballerinas, performs unimaginable tricks.

Bears dance the fiery Russian square dance together with the corps de ballet, and acrobats perform breathtaking stunts on opposite swings, as if defying the law of universal gravitation.

The masterly dexterity of the jugglers on the “arrows” – a unique rotating apparatus that has no analogues in the world – is impressive.

The Wild World of the Jungle attraction is a passion-filled performance featuring African lions, Sumatran tigers and rare representatives of this species - white tigers. But it all begins with the appearance of the corps de ballet dancers, dressed in fantasy costumes of werewolf people, who in their dance seem to transform into wild animals.

The viewing experience can be described in one word – “shock”. After the end of the performance, the audience did not want to leave the hall, but gave the artists a long standing ovation.

The large tour, within which the “Royal Circus” arrived in Tula, began at the Moscow Yuri Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, where over eight months the show was watched by more than half a million people.

After the premiere in Tula, the producer and artistic director of the group, Georgy Eradze, was presented with the coat of arms of the Royal Circus, created by Moscow designer Evgeny Lebedev. This is a true work of art, inlaid with gold leaf, where all the symbols that characterize this project are intertwined, decorated with a crown on top.

“We received the biggest gift today from the audience,” noted Georgy Giulevich. – Tula spectators are sophisticated, they have seen many different programs, and their reaction to our performance today, their ovation, is the highest rating. Of course, we were all worried today: despite many years of work, the premiere always excites us - like the first time in the arena. Circus is a living art, complex, but this is the professionalism of the artist, the measure of his responsibility to the public...

All genres of circus art are dangerous - for example, the “Counter Swing” act is very complex, every movement is carefully controlled. No wonder its performers are winners of many gold awards at various world festivals. This year they are going to China, which is famous for its acrobatic school, and let's hope for their next triumph, then they will go on a New Year's tour to Germany, to Stuttgart. And in a few months, 59 artists of the Royal Circus will represent Russia at the most prestigious circus arts festival in Monte Carlo. There will be a swing, “air”, a white block, which is like our calling card...

What is “Royal Circus” by Gia Eradze? This is not just a performance with individual numbers, but a whole theatrical show that will take your breath away. Three hours of fairy tales and splendor make viewers believe in magic, and adults - to plunge back into the world of childhood. We will discuss in the article what shows the circus master has in his arsenal.

Who is Gia Eradze?

“Royal Circus” by Gia Eradze is known all over the world. The tour program is so extensive that it covers every corner of the globe. Many people ask why the circus performer is so famous.

Gia Eradze was born in Georgia in 1978. The boy dreamed of an arena since childhood, so at the age of 11 he began working at the Tbilisi Circus. At the same time, he did not forget about studying at school.

The artist has a lot of merits and regalia. Since 2007, Georgy Giulevich began working with the Russian State Circus, and a year later he was appointed head of this group.

It is worth noting that the artist chooses the staff personally. This applies not only to the main performers, but also to the extras. Each participant in the show must have choreographic or ballet education. Stage images and costumes are coordinated with the troupe, everyone can make their own adjustments and wishes.

“Royal Circus” by Gia Eradze, which has only positive reviews, deservedly takes prizes at various festivals. It is very difficult to win the love of the audience, but the troupe managed to do this thanks to painstaking work and dedication.

We come to the show and find ourselves in a fairy tale.

“Royal Circus” by Gia Eradze has in its arsenal various shows that captivate the audience. The most popular is the Five Continents program. All rooms are thought out to the smallest detail. From the beginning of the performance, the viewer finds himself at a ball, ladies in peacock feathers and golden masks, gentlemen in chic suits dancing, dipping those present during the reign of the kings.

Soon Gia Eradze himself appears on the arena, dressed in a circus. He dreams of a circus, but the courtiers do not let him go. Suddenly a white horse appears on stage and carries the artist away to his dream.

Then the show continues at an increasing pace. Camels, birds, tigers, lions, panthers and many other animals perform in the arena. The organizers of the program offer viewers a trip to the five continents of our planet. Here you can visit the jungles of Africa, see the battle of gladiators, and the passionate dances of the Spaniards.

New show "Baronet"

Relatively recently, viewers were lucky enough to see Gia Eradze’s new show “Baronets”. It's just as great as the previous programs. The number of animals is amazing: great Danes, huskies, Dalmatians, bears, camels, deer, greyhounds, tigers, lions, panthers, horses...

The rooms are truly amazing and unusual. The audience most likes the performance dedicated to the Russian winter. Even in summer it seems that the snow in the arena is real.

Spectators note the well-groomed appearance of the animals. There are no unpleasant odors. This is very important, because children attend the performances. In addition, one cannot fail to note the dedication of the artists. All rooms are worked out to the smallest detail. It's a pleasure to watch them.

Technical points

From a technical point of view, all the rooms are built quite complicated. The artists work with great dedication. I would also like to mention the costumes. They were sewn in large quantities for the show. All of them are made according to individual sketches by leading fashion designers and designers. Rumor has it that Valentin Yudashkin himself took part in the creation of the images.

The most expensive materials were used: brocade, silk, guipure, velvet. Swarovski stones are used as decorations. In total, about 2,000 suits were made. The manager paid special attention to the general surroundings. The show uses only gilded elements, crystal chandeliers, candles,

The performance features 120 performers and 300 animals.

Tour

Gia Eradze’s “Royal Circus” lit its lights in different cities of Russia. Yaroslavl saw the performance at the end of October 2015. Tickets at the box office cost from 500 to 2000 rubles. The hall was a real sell-out. Children clapped their hands joyfully, and adults looked enthusiastically at the artists performing their numbers.

Many people ask: “What animals take part in the “Royal Circus” program by Gia Eradze?” Yaroslavl was visited by tigers, lions, antelopes, kangaroos, zebras, porcupines, horses, llamas, yaks, lemurs and various species of birds. Viewers have never seen such an abundance of animals in one program. The tour lasted about a week, everyone had time to attend the performance.

“Royal Circus” by Gia Eradze is a show of a new generation. The director moved away from the usual numbers and images, making the performance truly theatrical. In the program you will not see a compere who announces the artists. The viewer is given the opportunity to look at the arena without being distracted by extraneous actions, sometimes figuring out the meaning of the planned numbers himself.
